Artist bailout and travel/culture exchange - how to connect?

I've long wanted to create a travel/culture exchange network modeled on Route des SEL http://route-des-sel.org/ in France. Seeing the Artist Bailout page on here made me think - if there are events like this happening in and outside of timebanks around the country (or world) we could possibly use them to connect with traveling artists too, raising offers of housing and food and getting event tickets into individual exchanges. Anyway, it seems like there could be some natural synergies to explore and I'd love to start a dialog about it with whoever's interested.

re. the game idea

Hi!

Carol, thanks for writing that! Actually we just started designing the Build A Better World Game which we'll unveil and play at our June 21 Builders' Workshop, then play out in the world by doing a couple cool projects. We'll be looking for people who want to play in your own area on the same day. It'll be really fun and I think it'll help people build some skills and get some experience with working with lots of different people, recognizing the available resources, bridging barriers and creating new value. I'll look at what you sent to see if it helps in our design work.

One of the projects we do is likely to be some public art so that might tie in too. Still looking for offers to partner on the travel/culture exchange.

Thanks,
Stephanie

SMS: Social Media Strategist/Community Manager

I am new to alot of various and quite diverse groups. The need for me to connect a community around a game, was more in line with what is done in Corporations, like with HR, Mkt, Product Mgr ect. Only in a real community like Madison, Maine..who is then connected by service oriented architecture. Long story short, there is a woman, Rachel Happe, who presented a webcast on Wed. You can see her bio and blog on www.communityroundtable.com. Maybe this helps, or maybe I'm out on a limb somewheres, lol.
